this funny looking guy will grow on you like fungus “Serving in an army of robots tied to the ground makes Breakaway unique. he is one of the very few among the elite autobot flyers, and he is unmatched for speed in a straight line. While other pilots focus on aerial acrobatics that confound the enemy, Breakaway is content to speed over a fight at seemingly impossible velocity, releasing bombs and missles that strike their targets before they thunderous boom of his passage can catch up.” …

    It did not.

    The F-22 Raptor is replacing the F-15 Eagle. That is the A/B/CD versions. Not the F-15E Strike Eagle (the fighter-bomber version).

    The F-117 is (despite the F designation) not a fighter but a bomber. It is only armed with 2 laser-guided bombs. The F-22 is (mainly) a fighter.

    There are plans for a FB-22 bomber version. Probably to replace F-15E, perhaps F-117. But this version exists onl on paper and might never exist.

    So your F-117 is safe for the forseeable future. :)

    I hate the F-22 It replaced the Coolest stealth plane. lockheed F-117 night hawk! I heard it was going to be in the movie (most likely not)

    Breakaway’s face looks like WALL-E’s and when you had the cockpit hatch open 90 degrees it reminded me of G1 wheelie.

    The F-35 Lightning II JSF and the AV-8 Harrier are two totally diffirent aircraft.
    The only thing they have in common is that there is a vertial landing / take off version of the F-35 (the F-35B) which will replace the Harrier.

    In the USAF the F-35 will replace the F-16 and will be be the little brother of the better (and much more expensive) F-22 Raptor.
    Many NATO allies are also getting the F-35 including my country (the Netherlands).

    I hope this guy is in the movie. But to bad he is not based on a real TF character.

    I think it would have been better had they given him an Aerialbot name like Sky Dive, Slingshot, Air Raid or Fireflight.

    Sky Dive (F-16) or Slighshot (Harrier) would be most fitting as the F-35 is to replace these jets. But it would depend on which version of the F-35 he is. Judging on the camo a Marine F-35B so the name Slingshot would be most fitting.

    I think Blackout should have been named Vortex.

    Its an F35. Also known as the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF).
    You are actually close with your Harrier as the F-34B version can take of aan land vertically to replace the Harrier.
    The other variants are the conventional F-35A variant to replace the F-16 and the F-35Ccarrier version to be put on aircraft carriers and replace the regular F/A-18 and complement the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.
    Judging on the camo he is most likely a Marine version. So the F-35B version.

    really cool figure and nice review, i was reading a comment saying how he probably wont be in the movie becouse he is different parts of jets and i thought of this, his names breakaway, maybe his made of peices of jets that broke off?? lol idk just wishfull thinking cuz i want him in the movie XD
