Action figures are a very popular gift and have been since their introduction in 1964 with the GI Joe doll. The dolls on this list should be fairly easy to find on Amazon, at WalMart or in your favorite toy store. However, there are literally thousands of action figures out there and if you can’t find exactly what you are looking for…from this what’s hot list or whatever else you may be searching for you should check out gofigureactionfigure.com which is a site carrying more than 6000 popular and collectible action figures.

In 2007 the world of action figures is dominated by Transformers. I am sure you have already seen the excellent film that was released and know that this is not the Transformer of your childhood. These are Transformers for a newer day.

Hasbro’s “Transformers Ultimate Bumblebee Figure” should be at the top of your list for action figures this Christmas.

A close second are the Star Wars Transformers which combine the passions of both Transformer and Star Wars fans. Once again…this is not the Star Wars of your youth. It is the Star Wars of your children and if they are hoping for action figures under the tree this year I don’t think you can get much better than this combination.

Next on your list should be Power Rangers. Yes, its true…our colorful friends have made a comeback and find themselves in the coveted number three slot.

The Ben 10 collection which depict the Aliens from the hit TV show and soon to be movie are fast climbing the charts of must have action figure toys and collectibles. These are high quality figures but will probably only be a hit if your recipient is a big fan of the TV show. They are not as universally known as the old faithfuls like Star Wars.

And speaking of Star Wars…they are, as always, on the much have list of action figures. As popular today as they were in 1976 when they first came out, Star Wars action figures are sure to be appreciated.

And last but not least Disney Car action figures are very popular among the younger set. What child doesn’t love Lightening McQueen these days? I can’t name one. Can you? These are also a non-violent way to address your child’s desire for action figures which can sometimes be avoided in an effort to discourage violent make believe play. Disney Car action figures are a great option if this is the perspective you are coming from!

Happy Holiday Shopping.
