More than meets the eye: Anticipating the release of the Transformers movie – Part 2

Well to those that watch television you will know that Transformers already got an award and the movie isn’t even out yet. I think that this movie will be a ten and nothing else. Just by looking at the animation and graphics, it has me sold. Besides this is the Transformers that we’re talking about here. Remember when you were young and woke up every Saturday morning just to watch the next episode just to go to school on Monday and tell your friends how your favorite Transformer did his thing. Well, I think the movie will be just like that. Hopefully they’ll have a lot of different Transformers that we can compare to and if the story boards the same we’ll be in for a hell of a treat. I myself think that this might be even better than X-Men. Transformer comes out next month and trust me I will be there as soon as it opens. And when I’m done I’m taking my son to Toy R Us to get us some Transformer toys. I think this a great way for me and my son to spend some good quality time together. I’m very excited and I hope that all of you are to. By the way my favorite Transformers are the Dino-bots. But I guess they will take on the big screen in the next chapters, feel me?

Remembering the 80s cartoons

This is a great topic to write about. I believe that cartoons of the ’80s were the greatest ever. I was born in 1980 so my earliest memories are actually of watching cartoons during the middle and late ’80s. Today’s cartoons, which are mostly replaced now by computer animation, seem inferior to those of the ’80s. There was something special about a cartoon drawn by hand that computer animation is missing.

Transformers (now a blockbuster motion picture) really set the standard for action heroes with the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons. Every little boy (and maybe even some girls) owned Transformer toys. I had several Autobot toys that actually transformed back and forth between the car and the Autobot. I can remember the commercials that used to air for the action figures: always had that slogan, “Transformers…More than meets the eye.” It was an awesome cartoon.

Thundercats was yet another adventurous cartoon of the battle between good and evil. Once again, I owned the action figures for this cartoon as well. What boy wouldn’t run around the house pretending to be a character? Today’s cartoons lack the thrill and I rarely ever see a kid pretending to be an action hero. This is because there are no good action heroes for a kid to idolize anymore!

The ’80s were a great time to be a kid because we had some awesome cartoons to excite our imaginations. I often think back to these cartoons and I wish kids today had similar experiences to look back on when they grow up.

Transformers Toys – Find Out About Those in Demand Toys

It is interesting to see how each generation has it’s own special toys that can define it. When he was a boy, my brother had two obsessions. He loved his Transformers toys and he loved the He-Man series. He had a lot of both of them, and he kept playing with both every day. But playing by himself was hard, so I tried to play with him. I wasn’t a huge fan of either one, so I suspect that he didn’t have much fun with me. I really didn’t know what I was doing, and I didn’t know a lot about the toys. He loved them though, and he would spend hours by himself with them on a rainy day.

It was a lot of fun for me to play with his Transformer Toys though. It was fun to watch how they work as they change from one thing to the other. They were quite interesting. The Transformer Toys that he received as gifts were the very same that we used to watch on television every week. They were mostly trucks and cars that turned into something else, though there were also other types you could buy. He knew he would not get every single one of them that he wanted because some of those transformers toys were very expensive.

A few years ago, I noticed that Transformers toys are making a comeback, but not at the point they existed when my brother was crazy about them. I don’t know if they have a new cartoon or not, but there must be some way that children are getting interested if the Transformers toys are making a comeback. Once a cartoon is successful, the toys will soon follow. You are almost guaranteed success in merchandise if you can get a cartoon made that kids will love.

If you look in your attic and find some of the older Transformers toys, you may want to get them out to give to your kids. They will love the older ones, but you may still have to buy some of the newer ones that are in stores if that is something they are into. You could also sell the old Transformers toys, if you don’t have children, to those who are now collecting them because they loved them as a child. There are always people out there who fondly remember something from their childhood, and they often like to find these things to bring home with them.
